Standards:
1.5.B skip count by twos, fives, and tens to determine the total number of objects up to 120 in a set;
- Skip-counting - with pictures (First grade - A.8)
- Counting by twos, fives, and tens - up to 100 (First grade - A.9)
- Skip-counting patterns - with tables (First grade - A.18)
- Sequences - count up and down by 1, 2, 3, 5, and 10 (First grade - A.19)
Unplugged Activities:
- Hundreds Chart activities. Make the chart dry erase by placing inside a plastic sheet protector. (print hundreds charts free online)
- Count by 2s, 5s, 10s using Legos or Unifix cubes
- “If you can count it, you can keep it.” Sheets with stickers in rows & columns (ex. 2 columns, 10 rows) - count each row by # in column.
